About Me
I am a New Orleans-based dancer, somatic practitioner, facilitator, and organizer for social movements. Through my decades-long exploration of liberation movements, feminist praxis, dance, and trauma recovery, I bring a unique blend of skills to my work with individuals and groups.
I have taught dance and movement in recovery centers, studio spaces, and over Zoom for groups and individuals since 2016. Since 2014, I have developed and facilitated campaigns and donor education programs with Solidaire Network, Resource Generation, and Shakti Rising, grounded in feminism, intersectionality, transformation, and sustainable leadership development at the center.
I am a lifelong mover and am committed to embodiment as a practice that can connect us more deeply to our work in the world. I believe that moving our bodies helps us access places that may be rigid or guarded because of personal or collective trauma. I believe this because I have lived this, and have found movement to be essential in my own transformation and commitment to justice. My movement practice is deeply entwined with my organizing work, as I believe any sustainable change must be lived and practiced through the body. As a white woman, an inheritor of wealth, and a person who has faced mental health challenges, I feel aligned with my purpose when I bring the many aspects of myself to my work.
