About Me

I am a New Orleans-based dancer, somatic practitioner, facilitator, and organizer for social movements. Through my decades-long exploration of liberation movements, feminist praxis, dance, and trauma recovery, I bring a unique blend of skills to my work with individuals and groups.

I have taught dance and movement in recovery centers, studio spaces, and over Zoom for groups and individuals since 2016. Since 2014, I have developed and facilitated campaigns and donor education programs with Solidaire Network, Resource Generation, and Shakti Rising, grounded in feminism, intersectionality, transformation, and sustainable leadership development at the center.

I am a lifelong mover and am committed to embodiment as a practice that can connect us more deeply to our work in the world. I believe that moving our bodies helps us access places that may be rigid or guarded because of personal or collective trauma. I believe this because I have lived this, and have found movement to be essential in my own transformation and commitment to justice. My movement practice is deeply entwined with my organizing work, as I believe any sustainable change must be lived and practiced through the body. As a white woman, an inheritor of wealth, and a person who has faced mental health challenges, I feel aligned with my purpose when I bring the many aspects of myself to my work.

Vision Statement

I cultivate a sense of belonging for people and create spaces where people see everyday life as a site of experimentation, possibility, and transformation. In a world of so much oppression, I remind people that there are spaces of agency to face our fears, be with what is uncomfortable, own it, and transform it. I guide people through movement, deep listening, presence, deepening their trust in themselves, and supporting them to identify stuck places and where there is room for growth and change.

My work shows people that the transformation work is worth it; that coming into deeper relation to their bodies, the cycles of earth, radical honesty, and commitment to change deepens our experience of life and grows our capacity to hold both the good and the bad in our lives, our histories, and our world. I believe that growing this capacity grows our ability to create sustainable social transformation.

Who I Work With

I welcome and invite the messy, the complex, the dynamic, and the big questions that may never be figured out.

I welcome the artists, healers, former dancers, never dancers, people in recovery, people who are not afraid to face their shadows or their joy.

I welcome people who feel disconnected from their bodies, their joy, or lifeforce energy, but sense that reconnecting will support their wellbeing and work in the world.

I welcome people seeking deeper alignment with their resources in all of its forms: money, time, energy, passion, curiosity, skills, and community.

I welcome people who are dedicated to personal and collective transformation, and believe another world is possible.

I welcome organizations that want to engage in embodied practice with their clients, staff, or donors, for the sake of more cohesion, strength, mobilization, and creativity.

I welcome people who are dedicated to making change in the world, but feel too sensitive for social movement space, or have been hurt by the dominant social justice culture.

I welcome people who want to live more aligned with their positions of power, whether that be their race, gender, or economic position.
